Jammu: Cloudburst has been reported in the Kafarnar Bahk area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. One person has died while others went missing in a flash flood caused by a cloudburst. An official said that due to cloudburst, sudden floods hit Kafarnar Bahk in which one person died. They said the body of a family member named Haji Bashir Bakrwal of Rajouri has been seized while the others are yet to be traced.

The same police officials said that search operations are on and the area is very inaccessible while mobile connectivity is also weak. In another case, Kulgam police said they have rescued five members of a family from Yath Yathur Nullah as they were trapped in the area for the highest year since yesterday. A police spokesman said in a statement that Kulgam police received a report at around 6 am today that the water level in Nala Yath Yathur had suddenly risen due to continuous rain during the night of September 11-12 and a family along with their animals were trapped in the middle of the drain.
