J&K: Leaders to hold crucial meeting with PM Modi today, IG says news of internet shutdown is false

Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir leaders were scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. On this, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir region Vijay Kumar said, "Such reports are false. Internet has not been switched off or speed downgraded in Kashmir".

In fact, the issue of delimitation is likely to be discussed at an all party meeting of 14 leaders of 8 political parties convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. According to sources in the matter, apart from the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha, NSA Ajit Doval, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister PK Mishra, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and some other senior officials are likely to attend the meeting. It is also being said that the all party meeting of 14 leaders with the Prime Minister will also discuss the ongoing development works in Jammu and Kashmir.

Let us tell all of you that the meeting can also have detailed details on the condition of roads, electricity and water in the Union Territory as compared to the rest of the States of the country. It is also being said that LG Manoj Sinha may make his point at the beginning of the all party meeting and finally Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak before leaders of all parties. On Wednesday, the Election Commission held a virtual meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the delimitation of 90 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, 20 Deputy Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the meeting.
