On July 8, the armed forces killed Burhan Brothers in an encounter and after a year Jammu and Kashmir has decided to give compensation to their family. Advocate of BJP Sunil Sethi said ?The BJP will oppose it because we are of the firm opinion that he was a terrorist. There is no provision for grant of ex-gratia or compensation to the family of a slain terrorist,? .
According to the officials of government till now has issued a list of 27 civilians that will be given compensation. Out of them, 17 people compensation has been cleared.
Sunil Sethi also said ?Khalid was not an innocent victim of cross firing between security forces and terrorists. He was killed in a successful operation by security forces. Our party?s state president Sat Sharma will talk to BJP ministers in the coalition government in this regard,?.
