Jammu: May 14,2016:Four persons were arrested and 60 kgs of poppy straw seized from their possession in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police officer said.

Acting on a tip-off, Sukhdev Singh and Tej Singh were arrested yesterday in raids conducted at several places in the district and 48 kgs of poppy straw was seized from them, he said.

Officer said, “The duo recognized their two other assistants on interrogation and raids were conducted to nab them”

He further adding that, “Jagdish Singh and Suram Singh were also arrested from the same area and 12 kgs of poppy straw was seized from them”

He added, “All the accused were booked under various sections of NDPS Act and further investigation has started”.
