One was killed in the Verinag area of the Anantnag district and the other was killed at Shahgund in Bandipora. According to media reports, an unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Anantnag late on Sunday night. One policeman was also injured in the operation. Kashmir zone police said the operation against the militants is still going on. After Anantnag, an encounter has also started in Bandipora. Police said an encounter broke out at Hajin in Bandipora this morning in which one terrorist was gunned down. It has been identified as Imtiaz Ahmed Dar. He was associated with the banned terror group The Resistance Front, a branch of the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Dar was involved in the recent killing of civilians at Shahgund in Bandipora.
