Jammu: A few days ago, the police have identified 10 helpers of Hizbul terrorist Mohammad Amin alias Jahangir Saruri. Since then, the efforts of his arrest have been intensified by the police. SSP Harmeet Singh Mehta told that efforts are being made to arrest Saroori. Within a year and a half, many terrorist incidents have come to light in Kishtwar. The police and the NIA team are investigating them. Search operations and raids are being carried out in different parts of Kishtwar on behalf of the police. Earlier, two youths suddenly disappeared and then when a young man was returning from training after terror, the police has given him the post.

According to sources, a bullet was also shot on the leg of the young man in an encounter with the police. Police is trying to apprehend Hizbul Mujahideen militant Jehangir Saruri active in Kishtwar for many decades. Saruri is said to be responsible for reviving terrorism in Kishtwar in 2018.

On 23 October 2019 last year, a reward of Rs 30 lakh was announced on Saroori and her two associates Riyaz Ahmad alias Hazari and Mudasir Hussain. On 28 September 2019 last year, 3 terrorists including Osama bin Javed were killed by the security forces. It may be noted that BJP leaders Anil Parihar and Ajit Parihar were assassinated on November 1, 2018, and RSS officer Chandrakant Sharma and his PSO on 9 April 2019.
