New Delhi: Ghulam Nabi Azad's remarks on G-23 leaders meeting in Jammu to demand change in the top leadership of Congress and Ghulam Nabi Azad's remarks on PM Narendra Modi in it have caused a stir in the Jammu and Kashmir Congress. PCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir arrived in Delhi on Monday to meet the party's top command. Ahmed Mir met organization general secretary KC Venugopal and state in-charge Rajni Patil.

According to sources, Ahmed Mir informed the leadership about the state and political situation after the incident. He said that workers of the state unit were upset with Azad's remarks about PM Modi. Mir told the High Command that the incident had sent a wrong message among the workers. According to the information, Ghulam Ahmad Mir will remain in Delhi for the present and will take part in several meetings on this issue. The meeting in Jammu was organized by Gandhi Global Family, whose national president is Ghulam Nabi Azad. The leaders of the G-23 were called in it, but the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee and the party were not kept aside nor were they called for the event. Azad also met Congress workers from various districts in the presence of G-23 members.

In the meeting, Ghulam Nabi Azad said while commenting on PM Modi that he likes leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is proud of their roots. Along with this, Azad had said that PM Modi speaks openly about his past as a tea-seller. Ghulam Nabi Azad's remark has not been liked by the top leadership of the Congress.
