Anantnag: A 33-year-old Assistant Commander of CRPF posted in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir shot himself dead with his service rifle at his home. Officials said on Saturday that M Arvind Anantnag of the 40th Battalion was found dead at his home in Sadar area.

Arvind joined the Central Reserve Police Force in 2014. He returned to his duty from vacation on August 14. His family returned on August 20. According to preliminary information, he has taken this step due to some troubles in the married life. Authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident. "There is no conspiracy. Several reports on social media say that the cause of the incident is bad circumstances, which is wrong."

The official said, the deceased officer was from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The body is being sent to his home residence to be cremated. He said an inquiry has been ordered into the alleged suicide case and the reality will come out soon.
