Srinagar: Security has been tightened in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Section 370 of the Constitution. Meanwhile, amid normalcy in the state, the terrorists have threatened the locals. They have threatened local citizens and shopkeepers. The militants of Hizbul Mujahideen have threatened people not to open shops. Taxi drivers have also been threatened not to drive taxis.

In addition, the militants have also threatened the locals not to leave their homes. Earlier, a shopkeeper was shot dead by terrorists. In a letter issued by the Hizbul, the militant outfit said that shopkeepers should not open their shops and markets in the state should remain closed. Drivers have also been threatened by the move saying that the number of vehicles plying in the valley is near the terrorists and that they should not take their vehicles out of their homes. Terrorists have threatened to even burn vehicles to drivers.

Even the militants have issued warnings about schools. The letter says that no school girl should be seen on the streets. It has been said that the mother and daughters should stay at home because their sons are now in danger. Terrorists are now targeting ordinary people. On Thursday, militants opened fire on a shopkeeper in Srinagar, killing him on the spot. The deceased was identified as Ghulam Mohammed.
