Srinagar: While the Taliban, the terror group, which has forcibly captured Afghanistan's capital Kabul, has seized power in the country and started ruling according to Sharia law, some Muslim leaders in India are glorifying the terror group instead of condemning it. It has now added the name of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Shafqat Ali Watali. However, Watali did not say anything about the atrocities being committed against women in Afghanistan.

Shafqat Ali Watali tweeted, "India's communal forces are defaming Indian Muslims by naming Taliban, Afghanistan, Pakistan, ISI, ISIS, Al Qaeda, etc. through media and social media here. By doing so, they are creating a sense of insecurity among the Hindus. At the same time, it is also being used to create an atmosphere of communal hatred to win elections by diverting attention from the real issues of the country.
In another tweet also, he blamed everyone except the Taliban, but he did not use a single word against the Taliban. He asked former Afghan Vice-President Amrullah Saleh what happened to 3 00,000 Us-trained Afghan soldiers. At the same time, he asked where President Ashraf Ghani was. He blamed Afghan leaders and the US for the "killing of innocent civilians". The question arises as to why Muslim leaders who have strongly opposed RSS and many Hindutva organizations in the country are finally refraining from blaming the Taliban.
