J&K Chief Secretary says situation in valley is normal, no loss of life and property

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary BVR Subramanian has told media that the terror outfits are trying to infiltrate into the valley. He said, power supply facilities have been restored in all parts of Kashmir. He said this while briefing a press briefing on the latest situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

He was accompanied by Principal Secretary Rohit Kansal in the state. Chief Secretary BVR Subramanian has said that no highway in the Kashmir valley is closed. Government employees are working smoothly in their offices today. He said, schools and colleges were closed apart from restricting the free movement of people and telecom connectivity to maintain law and order in the valley.

At the same time, as per the legal provisions for maintaining law and order, some people were detained as a precautionary person. However, the situation in the valley is under complete control and most of the facilities have been restored. The restrictions were imposed in Jammu and Kashmir after the Modi government removed Section 370 and Article 35A so that separatist leaders could not mislead the public.
