Lashkar militant arrested from Jammu with plan to attack grenade

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Police has arrested a terrorist of Pakistan-backed terrorist Lashkar-e-Taiba from Jammu city and seized two grenades from him. The police claim that the terrorist was in the grenade attack in Jammu city. Police said the arrested terrorist was in constant touch with Pakistani handlers.

A statement issued by Jammu IG Mukesh Singh said that on 27 December, the Jammu police planted a block on the Jammu Srinagar bypass and started a search of vehicles. At around 7:30 in the evening, a man was seen walking near the block under suspicious circumstances and as soon as the police called him he tried to escape from there, after which he was arrested.

During the search, the police found a bag from his possession, in which he was carrying two hand grenades hidden. According to the police, the identity of the arrested terrorist has been in the form of Mohammad Ashraf son Ghulam Din, resident of Mahor, who currently lives in the area of Jammu. Police have claimed that the arrested person is a terrorist or terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba who was constantly in touch with Pakistani handlers and was assigned to carry out attacks in Jammu by his handlers in Pakistan.
