Srinagar: After the terrorists, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has now made up its mind to take strict action against their supporters and asylum-givers as well. Now the property of those who give shelter to the terrorists of their own free will and give them the freedom to use their lands will be confiscated. According to the police, if a terrorist forcibly takes shelter in someone's house, the head of the house will have to inform the police as soon as possible. The identity of the informant will be kept secret. Srinagar Police has also issued an order in this regard on Friday (March 25).

Srinagar Police has termed the move as its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. According to the police, "Only those who will be found guilty of harbouring the terrorist will be confiscated after a formal investigation." The terrorists not only attack the security forces but also have innocent civilians on their target. People are urged not to believe in any kind of rumours. At the same time, we warn that we should not allow any terrorist to use his resources.

Police said, "We are working on a policy of zero-tolerance against terrorists and supporters of terrorists in a civilised society. It has been in force for a long time in Section 2(g) and Section 25 of the UAPA Act, 1967. This action will be in accordance with this rule.'' According to media reports, Srinagar's Senior Superintendent of Police IPS Rakesh Balwal has claimed to have identified several houses that have helped the terrorists. This has been identified after the encounter in 2020-21. More than a dozen houses in downtown, Soura, Pantha Chowk, Batamaloo, Nowgam, Harwan have been involved in such activities.
