New Delhi: J&K Reorganisation Bill 2019 will be tabled in the Lok Sabha today after the resolution to remove Section 370 of the Constitution granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir is passed in the Upper House. The bill will be tabled in the House today after it is passed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday and will be debated. The bill divides the state into two union territories.

Jammu and Kashmir will be a Union Territory with the Assembly, while Ladakh will be a Union Territory without an assembly. According to the resolution moved by Amit Shah, "The President of India has referred to the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019 under the provisions of Article 3 of the Constitution of India to seek the views of this House as per the Declaration of December 19, 2018 by the President of India. "This House has the legislative power of the State of Jammu and Kashmir"

Home Minister Amit Shah assured the opposition that he will answer every single question on the bill and will join the debate on the introduction of the bill in the House today (Tuesday). The opposition has objected to the proposal and sought a response from Amit Shah. However, the motion was accepted in the Lok Sabha yesterday amidst uproar.
