Srinagar: Security forces on Tuesday got a major breakthrough in Avantipora district in southern Kashmir. The security forces killed two militants in an encounter here. Two soldiers have been injured during this encounter. This is the fourth encounter of this year. Earlier in the encounter on Monday, the security forces killed three Hizbul militants in the Wachi area of Shopian.

According to the information received, on Tuesday morning, the security forces got information that terrorists are hiding in Avantipora. The security forces surrounded the area and started firing on the security forces. During this time, the security forces have killed two terrorists. Earlier, security forces have also asked to surrender to terrorists. But ignoring this appeal of the security forces, the terrorists are continuously firing.

At the same time, the army is also continuously retaliating. On January 12, in Tral, Pulwama, the army killed three terrorists during an encounter. Among the slain terrorists was Hamad Khan, the commander of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. Hamad's killing was a big success for the security forces, the police had been looking for him for many days.
