Srinagar: Security forces have killed a terrorist in the Poonch sector of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, foiling an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LOC). PRO Defence has informed that an AK-47 rifle has been recovered from the terrorist. The operation in the area is still continuing.

According to media reports, army alert soldiers detected an attempt to infiltrate the terrorist with the effective use of the integrated surveillance grid. The militants opened fire after being challenged by the security forces, after which one terrorist was killed in retaliation. Security forces have later recovered the body of the slain terrorist with an AK-47 rifle. More information is currently awaited.
