Srinagar: Four militants of Jaish E Mohammad were killed in a fierce encounter that lasted for 15 hours between terrorists and security forces in Panjran town of Lssipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. According to police, two among the four militants were policemen.

According to police, the two police personnel posted at DPL Pulwama were stationed on Naka duty in Pulwama on Thursday afternoon. Suddenly, these two policemen went missing with their service rifles. The investigation began as the police became aware of the case, and within six hours it was known that they had joined the terror organization. In a few hours, police also searched for the airbase of the militants. The siege of the area on Friday evening has piled up both of the police-turned-terror men.

The Kashmir-Range SP has informed that, "when they were struck, they were asked to surrender first, but they remained adamant. In a short while, they started firing, after which four terrorists were killed in retaliation. They were also the policemen who had chosen the path of terror just a few hours ago.
