Jammu and Kashmir: According to the DGP of Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh the blast at the Indian Air Force station in Jammu was a terrorist attack. He has confirmed that the IED blast was done through a drone. Now a major attack has been averted by them as they get a very explosive device IED total of around 5-6 kg. DGP Dilbag Singh said that the IED bomb is in the drone itself. Its fragments have been recovered from the spot. He has also told that the terrorists had also planned to blast in the crowd, which has been foiled.
While Talking to a famous media channel DGP Dilbag Singh said that they recovered around 5-6 kg IED from Jammu police. They recovered this IED from the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist place. They are planning to plot it in a crowded place and the major plane of the attackers has been foiled as we got the explosive device. Suspects have been arrested by the Jammu police, an FIR has been registered, and are being interrogated by the police.
The recovery of such a huge amount of explosive material has averted a major terror attack in Jammu, which was earlier today rocked by a drone attack. According to some sources, there is a high-level meeting of senior police officers and the Indian Air Force at the airbase. Investigation teams of the Air Force, National Investigation Agency (NIA) have also reached the airbase. It may be mentioned that the Jammu airport is a civilian airport and the ATC (Air Traffic Control) is under the IAF. Jammu airport director Pravat Ranjan Beuria said flight operations were not disrupted due to the blast. He also said, "Flights to and from Jammu are operating as per schedule."
