But it was the Pawan fans and Jana Sena supporters who raised the slogans "CM... CM..." when Pawan was addressing the public meeting. Pointing at them, Pawan said, "Definitely we are forming government and person by your choice will be in the chief minister chair." Pawan was speaking after he filed his nomination for the Gajuwaka Legislative Assembly in Visakhapatnam district. He stated that he will keep the names of Potti Sri Ramulu, Ambedkar, Dokka Seethamma, etc to the welfare programmes. He said that he didn't enter politics to provide 25 kg rice, Rs.2,500 to the people but to provide a bright future to the coming generations.

Earlier this week, Pawan announced that in the upcoming Assembly elections, he would contest from two seats; Bhimavaram in West Godavari district and the Gajuwaka constituency in Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, Pawan's recent statement that Andhra people are being beaten up in Hyderabad, has become a huge controversy. YSRCP C Ramachandraiah, Botsa Satyanarayana and actor Posani Krishna Murali have condemned his comments.
