According to the latest buzz the actor received advance money from several production houses in Tollywood. It is said that his first focus would be doing a film for Mythri Movie Makers, who had given him an advance amount to work with them. Mythri Movie Makers had arranged a meeting between director Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan for the same. It is to be noted that Harish Shankar gave him Gabbar Singh, one of the biggest hit films in Pawan Kalyan's career. So, it is rumoured that the duo will team up once again for a film.

However, Pawan's fans were disappointed as Harish Shankar took to the Twitter to reveal that news about him directing Pawan Kalyan is just a mere rumour. He further asked his followers to wait for an official announcement from the producers.

He wrote, "As you all know, I love to direct Power Star the news about the recent meeting is also not true. I request all the film lovers to wait for the official announcement either from me or from Production House. (sic)"

In the meantime, Harish Shankar is busy with the Telugu remake of Tamil hit film Jigarthanda, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde have been roped in to play Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon's role in the Telugu version.
