Patna: A meeting of the Janata Dal-United (JDU) National Council has been called in Patna on 26th and 27th December. JDU leaders from all over the country will be present in this meeting. The meeting will be chaired by Bihar CM and party's national president Nitish Kumar. JDU will contest in Assam and West Bengal Assembly elections on how many seats will be contested in this meeting.

The issue will be discussed during the party's high-level meetings for two days. About 250 party officials are expected to attend it. These meetings will be held in Karpoori auditorium of JDU state headquarters. Arrangements are being made for the stay and eating of party-state presidents, senior officials and executive members of various states before coming to Patna. Sources say that the party's national office bearers will meet on 26 December. There will be a meeting of the National Executive of the first party on December 27 and of the National Council of the party after noon.

These meetings will brainstorm elections in Assam and West Bengal, including the recently concluded assembly elections in the state. The latest political situation in the country and the state will also be discussed. Some officials may also be assigned important responsibilities.
