Ranchi: Political veteran, who has big vote bank in Bihar, is searching for political land in the proposed assembly elections in Jharkhand. Be it the ruling Janata Dal-United (JDU) in Bihar or the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the party with the highest number of MLAs in Bihar, or the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), which is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), all are busy in making their political base strong, by doing a lot of things which can favour them in the upcoming elections.

All these parties are also in Jharkhand with the help of their 'social engineering', in an effort to get hold of that ethnic class, which has been successful in Bihar till now. Bihar CM and JDU president Nitish Kumar have started mobilizing his old voters by announcing to contest elections alone from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). JDU is eyeing more than a dozen seats in the state. The JDU has more focus on those seats in Palamu, South Chotanagpur and North Chotanagpur, where JDU has traditionally been the base.

The JDU, under the leadership of its senior leader RCP Singh, is working in select assembly constituencies across the state by taking out a workers' conference cum Janbhavana Yatra to help its vote bank. JDU national executive member Praveen Singh said that "JDU will go into this election with full power and its thinking is going among the people about inclusive society, inclusive development".
