Patna: The dates for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar may not have been announced yet, but the parties have come in the election mode. The seat division between coalition organizations and parties has also begun to churn out. In this order, it has been reported that JDU wants to contest on 115 out of 243 seats in the state and leave the remaining 128 seats for the BJP.
According to media reports, JDU also wants the BJP to give seats to the Lok Janshakti Party (LOJPA) from its quota. The BJP and JDU have been making a blow since LJP was angered over the seat split. JDU sources told media that the party is claiming to have 115 seats.
According to JDU sources, "In 2010, there was only JDU and BJP. So then we had no tug of war about seat division. We were part of the Grand Alliance in the 2015 assembly elections and contested on 101 seats. Now that we are again in NDA and there are senior partners, we are aiming for 115 seats. The BJP will include LJP in its quota and we will give the seats to Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) from our part."
