China is considered the stronghold of electric cars worldwide. All the companies in China are involved in making electric cars. The government there is also running various schemes to promote electric cars. But a shocking figure has emerged. On Chinese soil, Japanese auto companies Toyota and Honda have beaten Chinese companies.
Car sales decreased by 31 lakh units
Recently there were reports that the world's auto sector is reeling under recession. There has been a decline in car sales all over the world. Fitch Ratings report says that in 2019, sales of cars decreased by 31 lakh units. Apart from this, two big car companies of the world, Toyota Motor Corp and Honda Motors have kept the pace of decreasing sales of cars, which has been witnessing a period of decline since June 2018.
Demand for hybrid electric cars increased
The reason for this is that they are seeing a golden opportunity in this constantly declining market, because the demand for hybrid electric cars running on petrol is increasing in this market. Both of these Japanese companies are experts in this technology. These cars are also pleasing to the Chinese people, because despite the Chinese government's promotion of electric vehicles, the people there are not yet willing to buy fully electric vehicles.
Trust on hybrid cars
Charles Wong, who drives a Toyota Camry for the 2019 model, says that the hybrid car I'm currently driving is more reliable than before. I have used a hybrid car before, but it gives more mileage. Wong has previously used a petrol-powered Honda Accord for six years and has no regrets in driving Japanese cars.
Electric motor with internal combustion engine
Toyota has already been manufacturing the hybrid car Toyota Prius, one of the world's popular hybrid cars. At the same time, Honda and Nissan car companies have already adopted hybrid technology, in which internal combustion engines are combined with electric motors. Due to this feature, people still demand for petrol powered cars.
Now preparations to beat Germany
According to the latest data from the China Passenger Car Association, sales of Japanese car companies have jumped 4.3 percent in the first 10 months. At the same time, Japanese car companies have defeated American, European, South Korean and Chinese car companies. At the same time, Japan is now preparing to overtake Germany for the sale of luxury cars. According to the data, sales of Japanese hybrid cars in China increased by 30 percent and so far 2.20 lakh cars have been sold.
No trust on electric cars
The main reason behind the rapid increase of this data is that somewhere customers fear that the driver will be stuck in the middle if the battery of the electric car runs out. In addition, China's charging infrastructure is still in its early stages, although both the manufacturer and the government are trying to improve it.
