Ashes Series: England's Jason Roy may be out of team due to head injury

Lords: England opener Jason Roy has got the ball in the head during practice. Roy suffered the injury during practice on Tuesday. Roy's injury will be checked back once before the start of the third Test. Australian batsman Steven Smith has crashed out of the third Test due to injury. The third Test will be played from Thursday. Australia are leading the five-match Ashes Test series 1-0. The second Test was a draw.

According to a report by the website CrickInfo, Roy got injured when a throw from England veteran Marcus Trescothic, who was temporarily coaching the team, went straight into Roy's head. Opener Batsman Roy has passed a test related to dizziness after the ball hit. But he will be checked back before the third Test on Thursday. The England team has replaced Jason Roy with Oli Pope as standby.

On the fourth day of the second Test on Saturday, Jofra Archer's 148 kmph speed ball hit Smith's neck and then fell to the ground. Smith had scored 80 runs on 152 balls when the ball hit him. As soon as the ball hit, the English team players stood up to Smith.
