Jatinder Nath Das sacrifice his life for motherland

At the time of independence in India many revolutionaries sacrificed their lives and one of them is Jatindra Nath Das, a revolutionary who was born in Kolkata on 27 October 1904 and he is also known as Jatin Das. Jatindra Nath Das was an Indian freedom activist and revolutionary. He died on 13 September 1929 in Lahore Jail after 63 days of hunger strike at the time of independence.

Jatindra Nath Das also participated in Gandhi's non-cooperation movement in 1921. While studying for his BA in November 1925, Das was arrested for his political activities at Bangabasi College in Calcutta and was imprisoned in Mymensingh Central Jail. Jatindra Nath Das started visiting political prisoners while he was trained in the jail and during this he went on hunger strike. After about twenty days of fasting, the jail superintendent apologized to him and he gave up the fast.

Jatindra Nath Das has made his special contribution to the independence of India, he also approached and helped revolutionaries in other parts of India and also agreed to participate in making bombs for Bhagat Singh and his comrades. On 14 June 1929, he was arrested for revolutionary activities and imprisoned in the Lahore Jail in connection with the supplementary Lahore Conspiracy where he died.
