Rampur: Azam Khan's Johar University in Rampur has responded to a police notice in connection with the illegal occupation of the land. In a letter sent on behalf of the Vice Chancellor of the University, it said that the land that the police has asked for is not in the name of the university. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan claimed that the land had been purchased.
In response to the university's police, it said the Johar Trust may have more information about it. A notice can now be issued to the Johar Trust. The police had issued a notice and asked them to respond after a case was registered against the farmers for their land in Johar University.
After getting the full details of the land from the revenue department, the police had asked the Johar University to give full details of the land. The information was sought according to the GATA number of land. Now, a reply has been given by the Vice Chancellor of Johar University stating that the GATA number that has been sought is not registered in the name of the land university.
