Swami Agnivesh, a social worker who has been suffering from liver cirrhosis, has passed away. He breathed his last in a hospital in Delhi. Many of his organs had stopped working and after that, he died on Friday. Swami Agnivesh was 80 years old and now his last rites are to be performed on Saturday at 4 pm at Agnilok Ashram of Behelpa, Gurgaon

Before that, his body will be kept in his office at 7, Jantar Mantar Road, so that people can pay the final tribute. After the death of Swami Agnivesh, many people mourned and tweeted and paid homage to him. Now, meanwhile, the famous writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar has also tweeted. He wrote in a tweet: "This world has lost one more noble human being Swami Agnivesh. His resilience against the bonded labour had given a new life to lakhs of men women and children. Goodbye Swami Ji".

Now at the moment, people are giving fast reactions to Javed Akhtar's tweet. Talking about Swami Agnivesh, the doctors said, "Agnivesh was admitted to the ICU of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) and was on life support system since Tuesday". After that, a spokesperson of the hospital had said, "He was suffering from liver cirrhosis and today his condition worsened. Many of his limbs stopped functioning and he died of a heart attack at 6 in the evening". Besides this, he also said that there was an attempt to bring Swami Agnivesh back to consciousness but at half-past six in the evening he died.
