New Delhi: With the permission of The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the opening of colleges and schools in Delhi has started.  It has been decided to open the campus at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in a phased manner. From today i.e. 6th September 2021, the campus will be opened for final year students of PhD in the University.

As per the notice issued by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), it has been decided to reopen the university campus for students who are to submit their thesis on or before December 31, 2021. This includes both 9B hostels and day students. Also, all PWD Ph.D. Students will be allowed to enter the campus.

As per the guidelines issued by the University, seating arrangements have been created in the Central Library at the rate of 50% attendance. At the same time, the library will also be sanitized at regular intervals. Further, it has been clarified that students entering the campus will have to show negative reports of COVID-19 RT-PCR which has been conducted within 72 hours. On the other hand, the common students, from classes to exams, will continue in the same way before the online mode till the monsoon semester is over.
