Daman: The BJP has once again given a big blow to the Janata Dal-United (JDU). The entire Daman and Diu unit of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's party JDU has joined the BJP. Tweeting by the BJP, it has been informed that 15 out of 17 JDU members of Daman and Diu district panchayat members and the entire unit of state JDU joined the BJP on Monday. This step has been taken in protest against Nitish Kumar's side leaving the BJP, which has accelerated development in Bihar and supporting the Bahubali, a corrupt and familyist party.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, most of the JD(U) MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh joined the BJP. With this, 5 out of 7 MLAs of Manipur joined the BJP. Five JD(U) MLAs were inducted into the ruling party last week in the presence of BJP party president JP Nadda. A statement in this regard was issued by the Manipur Assembly Secretariat.
According to this, Joykishan Singh, Nagursangalur Sanate, Mohammad Achab Uddin, Thanjam Arunkumar and LM Khoute have joined the BJP. The Assembly Secretariat had then said that "The Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly has accepted the merger of five JDU MLAs with the BJP under the 10th Schedule of the Constitution."
