Nalanda: It is the most interesting contest in the Rajgir assembly constituency of Nalanda. While JDU rebels, on the one hand, Ravi Jyoti is fighting from the Congress side, on the other hand, there are other party candidates including NDA. However, the battle for Grand Alliance vs NDA in Rajgir assembly constituency will be very interesting as Ravi Jyoti has opened a front against NDA after rebel from JDU.

It may be noted that outgoing MLA Ravi Jyoti had hoisted JDU's flag by ending the 40-year-long BJP reign in the Rajgir seat in the 2015 assembly elections. This time NDA did not give him a ticket from Rajgir. As a result, Ravi Jyoti joined the Congress on the voice of thousands of Rajgir workers. After enrolling as a Congress candidate, MLA Ravi Jyoti said in a passionate tone that we had served a party like a true soldier.

He further said, "I was not given a ticket from the party in lieu of 5 years of service and the party gave the ticket to another, which has nothing to do with the party". He said that this nomination is not mine but the nomination of the entire accommodation of Rajgir, because I have left my decision to win on the people of Rajgir. This time the Rajgir will eliminate genealoticism.
