Jediism will not be considered as a religion: Charity Commission

Jediism , a religion that is entirely based on people who are monotheistic and their religious beliefs are based on Star Wars Movie series. The Charity Commission has completely ruled out the possibility of such religion.

The temple of Jedi had requested Charity Incorporated Commission to let their religion enter the Charity Commission but Charity commission did not let it pass as on the basis of moral and ethical grounds it was not something that Commission wanted to be promoted and said , "everything that chooses to call itself a religion'".

In their application they mentioned Jediism as , "A religion based on the observance of the Force, the ubiquitous and metaphysical power that a Jedi (a follower of Jediism) believes to be the underlying, fundamental nature of the universe."

As per reports in the year 2011 177,000 people registered themselves as Jedi which was very low as compared to the number in 2001, that was 390,000.
