LOS ANGELES: Hollywood icon Jennifer Lopez, who stars as the bride in Jason Moore's film "Shotgun Wedding," was first hesitant to take the role after working on the film "Marry Me," according to media sources. She only became convinced after reading Mark Hammer's script.

When Jennifer was set to start filming "Marry Me," she thought, "Ah, I don't want to do another wedding movie."
"I can still picture myself reading it when I was in the tub and thinking, "Oh, this is amusing. This could be good. Depending on who directed this, it could be really good." And when we hired (director) Jason Moore, I thought, "OK, this is going to be fun," and we had such an incredible cast, "She spoke to "The Hollywood Reporter," reports "Female First UK."

In the movie, a couple gathers their families for a vacation wedding, but when the guests are taken hostage, the couple must free their loved ones, according to "Female First UK."

Josh Duhamel, who took over for the scandal-hit Armie Hammer, plays the male lead in the movie, and had no trouble "connecting" with JLo while filming. He said: "We talked about how easy it would be for us to establish a connection that would appear genuine on screen since without it, the movie wouldn't be successful. We discussed how important it is to put your trust in one another and to remember that you have each other's backs no matter what."
