The Meteorological Department has declared an orange alert regarding rain in Punjab. This alert is going to continue continuously from 19 to 21 July. During this period, the chances of rain ranging from 100 to 120 mm are being expressed in the northern districts. As the weather continues to change, common people and district administration have been asked to be ready. In Ludhiana, on Saturday, it was 9.4 mm rainy. Which has given relief to the general public.
The Meteorologist Prabhjot Kaur of Punjab Agricultural University said that till July 17, 144.8 mm of rain has occurred in Punjab. This is 2 percent more than normal. The Orange Alert that has been declared at this time includes many areas around Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Nawanshahar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and Kapurthala. It is expected to rain on July 19 and 20. On July 21, there will be little rain.
Apart from this, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Moga, Muktsar and Bathinda will get more rain from July 19 to 20. Farmers have been told not to use pesticides or fertilizers at this time. The farmers whose level of fields is low, they should be fully prepared to deal with waterlogging. So that we do not have to face any kind of inconvenience.
