Garhwa: A pregnant woman was killed by her husband on Thursday night at Nawadihwa Tola in Mazhawa in Harihar OP area of Jharkhand. After the murder of the wife Seema, the accused Arun Rajwar sat near her corpse all night. In the morning, he surrendered before the police.

Seema was the resident of Kolhua in the Bardiha police station area. Her father, Murari Rajwar, informed the police that Arun had murdered his daughter for not giving dowry. He said the daughter was always tortured for dowry. There was always a demand for Rs. 50 thousand as dowry on behalf of son-in-law. The father of the dead has lodged an FIR against son-in-law Arun Rajwar in the case as well as a written representation in Hariharpur OP against Seema's father-in-law Chandan Rajwar and mother-in-law Bakni Devi.

The police arrived at the information and sent the corpse to Sadar hospital for post mortem. OP-in-charge Shaukat Khan has informed about the matter and said that the case is under investigation. The accused of murder has been remanded to jail bars in custody.
