Jharkhand: A son killed his father with a sword in Palamu

Ranchi: Saroj Paswan slaughtered his father Satyadev Paswan (65) with a sword in the family dispute on Friday in Singra Mohalla (Ward-1) of Palinam district headquarters in Medininagar, Jharkhand. The badly injured Satyadev Paswan was rushed to Medinirai Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Doctors said that Satyadev Paswan had died before reaching the hospital due to excessive bleeding. Kamlesh Kumar, the station in-charge of Medininagar Sadar, said that Saroj had a dispute with his father Satyadev Paswan. Daily wage laborer Saroj Paswan used to ask for money from his father. On Friday, the dispute also increased, and Saroj Paswan cut his father's throat with a sword. He told that the accused son has been arrested for the crime of killing his father. The police are interrogating the accused.

He said that the sword used in the murder was thrown by the accused in the nearby north Koel river, which has been recovered by the police. The police handed over the dead body to the relatives after conducting the post-mortem at MRMCH Hospital.
