'Opposing democracy is in Congress' DNA,' Jharkhand state BJP attacks

Ranchi: The Jharkhand state BJP yesterday observed the Emergency Day as a black day on June 25. The seminars were organized here in all the districts including the state headquarters with a view to telling the younger generation about the Emergency. At the same time, while opposing the dictatorship imposed on the country during the Emergency, such people who have been imprisoned in sections like jail terms, MISA and DIR were also honoured.

Let us tell you all that yesterday at a function organized on this occasion at the BJP state office, Dr Suryamani Singh, former MLA Ramchandra Nayak, senior journalist Chandreshwar, Pramod Mishra, Professor Vrajkishore Mishra, journalist Ashok, Suraj Mandal, Ramchandra Kesari and Radheshyam Gravel, who worked for the movement by staying underground during the Emergency, Sanwarmal Agarwal, Prem Mittal, Dr Umashankar Kedia, Shailesh Sinha, Shivgovind Pandey, Akhouri Pramod Bihari, Hitendra Ji, Dhaninath Sahu, PrithviChand Mandal, Shashishekhar Dwivedi, Kamal Khan, Bhola Ji were felicitated with Angavastra and coconut fruits by BJP State President and MP Deepak Prakash.

Addressing the function, BJP state president and MP Deepak Prakash said, "The state BJP today pays homage and felicitations to all the fighters who fought the second battle of independence. He said that there has been opposition to democracy in the DNA of the Congress.''
