Ranchi: Newly elected CM Hemant Soren of Jharkhand paid a courtesy call on the state governor Draupadi Murmu at Raj Bhavan on Friday. During this, Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren was also present. Kalpana Soren took the blessing by touching the Governor's feet and then honored him by wearing a shawl. Now CM Hemant Soren is going to leave for Delhi on Friday evening.
PM Narendra Modi has invited CM Hemant Soren of Jharkhand to meet New Delhi. CM Hemant Soren will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday 11 January at noon. It is worth mentioning that earlier also Hemant Soren had sought time to meet PM Narendra Modi, but due to busy schedule, both could not be met.
Sources say that Soren may also meet veteran Congress leaders during his visit to Delhi and discuss cabinet expansion. For information, let us tell you that in addition to the Chief Minister, there are only three ministers in Jharkhand. There is a possibility that the cabinet will be expanded after January 15.
