Ranchi: Expressing grief over the ruthless killing of 7 villagers in Burugulikela village under West Singhbhum district, Jharkhand's newly elected CM Hemant Soren has ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. Soren held a high-level meeting with the Chief Secretary of the State, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Director General of Police and other officers of the Police Department to investigate all aspects of this murder case on the brutal killing of seven villagers in the village of Burugulikela here.

CM Soren has said that it is true that the police cannot be present everywhere, but the functioning of the police should be such that the public trust should be maintained and the fear of the police in those who commit crimes and break the law. He said that the law is paramount and the culprits of the case will not be spared. CM Soren said that the exact causes of the incident should be brought out within the stipulated time frame. He also approached the victim's family and asked them to help the family in every possible way.

He said that SIT should be constituted to reveal the real causes of the incident and identify the culprits. After the investigation report, in addition to immediate assistance to the victim's family, the government will decide to take complete help and action against the guilty officers.
