Chief Minister announces state will also get a second gas cylinder free of cost

Dhanbad: Jharkhand CM Raghuwar Das announced here on Thursday that Jharkhand is the first state in the country where women are being provided with first gas refills as well as free gas stoves and the second gas cylinder will be provided free of cost from 23rd of August. He was addressing the occasion after saluting the Independence Day parade at Morabadi Maidan on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day.

The announcement was made by CM Raghubar Das after saluting the Independence Day parade at Morabadi Maidan here on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day. Raghubar Das said that so far more than 31 lakh women in the state have benefited from the scheme of providing free gas stove sway along with first gas refill. Das said that 12 lakh additional women will be benefited by September 30.

He said, the Prime Minister's Ujjwala Yojana, which was launched to protect women in the country from diseases caused by wood-based fuel use and promote environmental hygiene, is also benefiting all women in our state.
