Ranchi: The Jharkhand government is going to waive up to one lakh loans of farmers next year. State Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon has announced a provision for this in the budget of 2022-23. He announced this by answering on behalf of the government the discussion on the budget in the Legislative Assembly. With this announcement of the Finance Minister, three lakh more farmers are likely to come under the loan waiver.

Rameshwar Oraon said that resolving the farmers' problems is the priority of the government. This year, a measure has been taken in the budget to waive loans up to 50 thousand. This limit will be increased to one lakh next time. He said that according to the opinion of economists, we are taking measures to give more and more money to the hands of farmers. He said that Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana was discontinued because farmers were not getting any benefit from it. It was used for the farmers to eat chiniya almonds and nuts. We will apply the remaining amount in the real interest of the farmers.

Rameshwar Oraon further said that the comrades of the opposition who raised the question should understand that through this budget 15 lakh poor have been added for five kg of food grains at the rate of one rupee a month. It will be done by the state government at its own expense. Three lakh 65 thousand disabled people will get a pension. Along with this, wages have also been increased by 31 rupees in MNREGA. This will lead to more cash in the hands of the poor.
