Ranchi: Jharkhand is engulfed in constant controversies these days. One reason for this is the ongoing political tussle there, the other is the outrage across the country over the negligence of the Hemant Soren government in burning a daughter alive in Dumka. Meanwhile, in Palamau of the state, a case has come to light of Muslims driving away Dalits from their homes. According to reports, 50 Mahadalit families were forcibly driven away from a village by Muslims in Palamu and their houses have also been vandalized. No Dalit leader came to take care of these victims, and even the politicians who shine their politics on Dalit votes are silent on this issue.
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who raised the slogan of Jai Bhim-Jai Bhim, is also keeping his eyes closed on this issue and neither is the mainstream media questioning him on this matter. But, Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais has taken cognizance of this and expressed concern over the condition of Dalits. The governor has sought a report from Palamu DC on this entire matter, Palamu DC has to submit its investigation report to the governor today. After that what will be the next action, it will be worth watching. As per reports, these Mahadalit families were living at that place for about 30-40 years.
According to the report, in the name of Madrasa land, the Muslims razed the houses of poor and helpless Mahadalits and also beat them up. Even the Muslims did not spare the children, the old and the women, forcibly taking them out of the village and throwing them in the forest. When the matter came to light, questions were raised about the Hemant Soren government of the state. Hemant Soren himself is from Scheduled Tribe (ST) and has come to power by doing politics of Dalits, but today he is sitting blindly on crime.
This case is of Murumatu village under Palamu district. From where 50 houses of the Mahadalit community were destroyed by the Muslims. No one is going to ask how these Mahadalit families are without a roof in this rainy season.
