Ranchi: In Jharkhand, the state government was constantly receiving complaints about additional fee collection and fee hikes in items other than tuition fees of private schools. In view of these complaints, the Department of Education has constituted a Fee Fixation Committee and An Inquiry Committee through the Deputy Commissioner. The education department of the government and various district deputy commissioners were getting information from the Jharkhand parents association as well as parents and various ways that fees were also being collected by private schools in the state from parents in items other than tuition fees.
At the same time, fees have been increased by many large private schools in this crisis of corona epidemic keeping in view the rules and regulations. The Jharkhand Parents Association has been consistently vocal. Additional members of Parents Association President Ajay Rai have also met the deputy commissioner of the district, secretary, education department of the state government and briefed about the matter. The Education Department has since taken cognizance and constituted a Fee Fixation Committee and An Inquiry Committee through the Deputy Commissioner.
Jharkhand Parents Association President Ajay Rai has said that parents were constantly worried about their children being cut off from their online classrooms and complaints of this kind were constantly being received. This was also conveyed to the state government and now an inquiry committee has been constituted. Such private schools can now be nailed.
