Ranchi: Hemant Soren's government of Jharkhand has decided to ban hookah bars in the state. Hookah bars have been banned completely in the state. A decision has been taken in this regard unanimously in the Cabinet. Not only this, but it will also be illegal to sell and buy tobacco or cigarettes in public places.

In the cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, important decisions were taken on the sale and use of cigarettes and other tobacco products including hookah bars. In which the Jharkhand government has completely banned hookah bars in the state. If a person is caught driving a hookah bar, he will have to pay a maximum of three years of imprisonment or a fine of one lakh rupees. Also, no person will consume tobacco products in public places. People under 21 years of age are completely banned from buying tobacco products.

According to the decision taken by the government, tobacco products will not be sold within 100 meters of the educational venue, court, or religious place. A total of 28 proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting of the Jharkhand government.
