Jharkhand High Court to hear bail petition of Lalu Yadav

Ranchi: The bail plea of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national president and former CM of the state Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving a sentence in the fodder scam case of nine and a half crore rupees in Bihar, will be heard in the court today. Lalu's lawyer has said that if former Bihar CM Lalu Yadav gets bail, he can be released late in the evening.

A bail plea in the case of embezzlement from Lalu Prasad Yadav's Dumka treasury in the bench of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh in the Jharkhand High Court will be heard today. His lawyer Devarshi Mandal expressed the hope that the former Union Minister imprisoned in jail can get bail. The lawyer said that Lalu has already been granted bail in three other cases.

RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav is serving a sentence in the fodder scam case. During this time he was admitted to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi after his health deteriorated, where he was undergoing treatment for a long time. Last week suddenly Lalu Yadav's health worsened and he was shifted to Delhi AIIMS for better treatment.
