Ranchi: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on Saturday announced that all beneficiaries of the state will get social security pension of Rs 1,000 per month. His Government has not fixed any quota for this. The benefit of this pension will be available to the elderly, destitute women, widows, handicapped, unmarried women above 45 years of age etc.

Addressing a gathering at Kukatand in Ramgarh district of the same state, Chief Minister Soren said that earlier many people did not get any benefit from pension schemes as there was a quota for every area. Soren has launched a comprehensive pension scheme on the foundation day of Jharkhand on November 15. 1000/- per month to every person above 60 years of age, widows and destitute women above 18 years of age, single women above 45 years of age, persons with disabilities above 5 years of age and victims of HIV.

The CM said that we have launched the 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme to reach out to residents on occasion to address complaints related to the Aadhaar cards, voter cards, ration cards, social security pension, caste certificate and income certificate on occasion. Soren had also announced the 'Aapke Adhikar, Aapke Sarkar, Aapke Dwar' (Your Right, Your Government, Your Door) programme on November 15, which aimed to take government schemes to the homes of beneficiaries.
