BTS ARMY had the time of their life following the performance of J-Hope at the Lollapalooza 2022 which the fans are famously calling HOBIPALOOZA, and we totally agree as the singer took over the event with his out-of-the-world performance. J-Hope certainly has made history with his performance by becoming the first South Korean artist to headline the main stage at a major US music festival.

Fans from all over the world got to witness the history in making through a live stream via the Weverse application. As the multitalented performer that J-Hope brought the complete package for his fans to witness with his singing, dancing, and rapping. ARMY’s on the internet can not stop gushing about the performance ever since it concluded, and we just can not blame, having watched the performance myself I personally have come short of words when trying to describe the performance.

However, we will give a rundown of the performance for those who for some reason missed out on the performance.

The performance started 10 minutes prior to the set time and went on till 8:30 am (IST), the overall 70 minutes performance consisted of various songs included from his previous album ‘Hope World’. The 28-year-old recently released his solo album ‘Jack In The Box’, the songs from the album were also included in his power-packed performances.

Performing either section of songs or the tracks entirely,  J-Hope’s setlist comprised a total of 21 songs, each flowing smoothly from one to the next and telling a cohesive story.

Starting with Intro, J-Hope performed MORE, Pandora's Box, Base Line, BTS Cypher Pt.1, Hangsang, P.O.P, = (Equal Sign), STOP, Blue Side, Safety Zone, What If…, Arson, Music Box: Reflection, Dynamite (Tropical Remix), Daydream, Outro: Ego, Hope World, Trivia: Just Dance, Chicken Noodle Soup with Becky G, and finally, Future.

The historical performance started with J-Hope jumping out from a box, just like the name of his album suggests, ‘Jack in the Box’. The entire setlist told a story of the singer himself, from the initial intro till its conclusion, from looking into the past to ending it with the song Future.

There were various surprising elements from his performance, one of which included him performing Dynamite (Tropical Remix) with new choreography. Additionally, the singer made the Army remember the Love Yourself concert era with his  ‘Trivia: Just Dance’, the icing on the cake was ARMY’s chanting his name just like they used to at the concerts.

The most anticipated one was J-Hope’s performance with Becky G, who appeared as a special guest for Chicken Noodle Soup’.  And the 70 minutes in heaven ended with J-Hope thanking the band, the fans, and the dancers, and his concert concluded with the song Future.
