Court awards 20 years imprisonment jail to man for raping a relative minor

Bilaspur: Special Judge POCSO Uday Laxmi Singh Parmar has sentenced the convict in the case of rape of a minor in Janjgir-Champa Jale of Chhattisgarh. He has sentenced the guilty brother-in-law Rajendra Singh Rajput to 20 years imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of one thousand rupees has also been imposed. The court has given justice to the minor within two months after giving this decision.

In fact, on 13 December 2019, Supervisor of Women and Child Development Department Saroj Tiwari was returning home with her husband. Meanwhile, Rajendra Singh was forcibly taking the child by sitting. Seeing this, Saroj and her husband chased the motorcycle rider. When he saw some distance, he was raping the guilty girl. As soon as Saroj and her husband tried to catch him, he started running away. But both of them caught him and handed him over to the police.

The police, showing readiness in this case, presented the chargesheet to Rajendra Singh Rajput in the court within 10 days. Hearing the case, Special Judge Poxo found that the victim's brother-in-law appears in the accused relationship. Judge Poxo Uday Laxmi Singh Parmar said that this is a very heinous crime because it is raising people's trust with relationships. Younger girls are not safe even among their loved ones in their family. With this statement, the judge sentenced the convict Rajendra Singh Rajput to 20 years imprisonment along with imposing one thousand fine.
