'Jindal Steel' failed to pay its interest debt again !

One of the nation's prime steel manufacturers. Jindal Steels has failed to pay its debts yet again. the steel manufacturing giant said on Thursday, that it was unable to pay Rs. 15.43 crore interest on Non convertible debentures (NCDs), which was due on October 31.

"The comapany has not made payment of Rs. 15.43 crore towards the interests due on NCDs, the due date for payment of which was October 31st 2016", JSPL said in a regulatory filling.

The comapny, for the same reason in the last month said that this was due to the mismatch in the account flow that was unable to pay the NCD interest.

In October, the company said it will sell its 24MW wind power plant in Satara, Maharashtra to a subsidiary of India infrastructure fund II for an undisclosed amount.

The company, owned by Naveen Jindal, is currently in a debt of Rs. 46000 crore.
