Indian telecom company Reliance Jio had announced that now users will have to pay a fee for making outgoing voice calls. The company was also severely criticized for this decision. Now the company has given a tweet giving relief to the users. In this tweet, the company has said that users who were recharged on October 9 or earlier will continue to get free voice calling facility till the expiry of the plan.
In a statement, Jio had said that the company has taken this step due to the interconnect usage charge announced by TRAI. Let us know that the interconnect usage charge is given for outgoing calls between any two networks. However, in lieu of removing free voice calls, the company will provide additional data to its users. Jio will give 1 GB of data to users for every 10 rupees.
The direct meaning of the company is that if you have recharged your number before October 9, then you can make free voice calling on any number till its validity. When the validity of your plan is over, then you can choose one of the new IUC top-up vouchers for calling. After this you will be able to make off-net calling.
Company introduced 4 IUC top-up vouchers
For your information, Let us tell you that the company has introduced 4 plans between Rs 10 and Rs 100. The company has said that users will be given additional data facility in lieu of these vouchers, so that they will not have to recharge the net separately. This decision of the company is shocking for the users, but the facility of additional data is a beneficial deal for the users.
